I'm not really sold on Clinton but I like her stance on the "No Child Left Behind" mandate.
Obama is inspirational but the country makes me worry if he wins. Both sides will erupt and I don't think anything good can happen there.
Huckabee seems like a typical Republican but I can't get with the hard-line Pro-Lifers.
Edwards has a good message but seems lost.
I'm glad Guiliani got his ass handed to him. Stop using 9/11.

Well Kerry didn't do well in Iowa in 2004, he came in a far third and I don't know how Bush did in 2000. It's a positive step for Obama and for some well needed change in this country.

obama is a black man...whatever...if he is a good candidate he is a good candidate...on that note...i dont think he is that good at all...oprah isnt making me think he is any better either
edwards, while a guy who clearly understands that healthcare is fucked, poor and middle class are hurting and that corporations like exxon mobil are making billions of dollars in profits quarterly while the american economy is sucking big time right now, just doesn't seem to be a president in my opinion...good vice president though...
guiliani got his ass handed to him bc a) he wasnt in iowa (he was in miami trying to get florida voters on his side) and b) he had no chance of winning over the iowa republican crowd
president huckabee just sounds silly...and im TIRED OF FUCKING RELIGIOUS NUTS running this country!!!

Hey it's the same old shit we get feed every year. We're going to fix this and we're going to fix that. 3 years down the road , after 12 passes through congress, finally we can get a free fucking flu shot. The problem with our Govt is that the same ol same ol is in it, and it takes too fucking long to pass anything that will actually help the people of America out. At this point we could elect a retard.

I agree with all that. Guiliani is really just a fraud hiding under the guise of pro-war, tough on terrorists. He needs a new angle and a fresh one. Because Guliani is :deadhorse:
I don't want Clinton because the country needs to break away from the Bush/Clinton connection.
I hate to dismiss Obama just because he is black. I'm glad he is steering clear of that angle and trying to appeal to all audiences.
I shy away from Republicans for the same reason you stated, I can't go 4 more or possibly 8 more years under the leadership of a Conservative Christian. The Purtianical belief system doesn't really fly in the 21st century.

Ron Paul is interesting, he reminds me of Nader because he is coming from a truthful angle. He still is a staunch Republican and that might not be the best move for the country right now. His campaign message is solid but I have been starting to look into his career only because I didn't know about him till about 2 years ago.

Very true, the country is locked in to a 2-party system with both parties almost disregarding the majority and primarily focusing on the special interests groups.

I know that he is a Libertarian but I really get more of a republican vibe off of him. I've taken the quiz years ago and I mainly agree with the Libertarian stance, now if they could get a viable candidate to stand up to the machine.

Mine came back Centrist leaning towards liberal because of my economic views. I'm all for personal responsibility and putting away the charity basket for people and businesses that continue to screw up. I don't want to be involved with what people do with their bodies or who they want to marry. The economic aspect is murkier because that will impact the entire nation so there ususally isn't one path to follow when money is concerned.

The only positive for the Democrats is that it seems like people want to actually vote this time. The country was not sold on John Kerry and it showed. I think that the nation really wants to make a change from the staus quo that we have had since September 12, 2001. People like Obama, Ron Paul, John Edwards, and even Hillary Clinton might bring more voters out.

America won't elect a black man and America won't elect Hillary Clinton. You can spin it any way you want to, but the first sentence in this post is still true. The Democrats tried to make a social statement with this election, when they simply should have tried to get back in the White House. We're so progressive, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

Obama will turn everything into "get even with whitey". Plus he is a crack head who is probably fucking fat ass Oprah. Hillary will make more things a crime that men do (ex. She would probably make it an arrestable offence to fart in public) Huckabee is just like Bush, retarded. I have seen the political system be a bigger fuck up in last three presidential elections. I'm not saying they would be better, but the first time Bush ran and won, it was because Florida (which was run by Jeb) fucked up the count. The next time Bush had fewer total votes, but still won because of that fucked up electoral college system. Ever since Dimwit Dubya has been prez, we have had more soldiers killed, more big wig politicians get away with shit, and now the USA is hated by most countries. We really cannot have a black, a woman, or another moron run the country even farther into the ground. We may just end up with the world destroyed because a leader from another country called the president a retard, or a N word, or a C*NT (a female prez during her period would mean no one lives). I would say lets move to Canada, but if the world blows up, we are all fucked anyway.

I think that on the world stage, America would look better if Obama was running the country for the fact that he is not part of the old white boy's club. His victory would show progress in our nation. Germany has a woman president and Great Britain had a female Prime Minister for a while.
I do not think and we have no proof either way that other leaders would call Clinton a c*nt. Also your fears of a woman or of a black man running this country are way off based. It's not easy to change things as a president or abortion would be gone by now. Obama is not the "out to get whitey" person that Al Sharpton is. You're using harsh stereotypes. And Washington D.C. would never allow Hillary to manipulate the laws.

The shit about the Muslims is all true (http://www.prophetofdoom.net/) - Islam is a caustic blend of paganism and twisted Bible stories. Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money. He was a terrorist.

no he is not mulsim.
" He describes his Kenyan father as "raised a Muslim," but a "confirmed atheist" by the time his parents met, and his Indonesian stepfather as "a man who saw religion as not particularly useful." The chapter details how Obama, in his twenties, while working with local churches as a community organizer, came to understand "the power of the African American religious tradition to spur social change." Obama writes: "It was because of these newfound understandings—that religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world that I knew and loved—that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized."

So, is Obama Muslim or not? I have heard both now.
Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion. Obama has a great opportunity to be forthright. Instead, he has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret. His grandfather was named 'Hussein.' That is an Arabic-Muslim, not African, name. Hussein was a devout Muslim and named his son, Barack Senior, 'Baraka.' Baraka is an Arabic word meaning 'blessed.' Baraka comes out of the Koran and Arabic, not Africa.
"Barack Senior was also a devoted Muslim, and also chose a Muslim name for his son, our own Barack Obama, Junior. Again, his name was an Arabic and Koranic.
Obama has spent a lifetime running from his family heritage and religious heritage. Would his father have given his son a Koranic name if the father was not a devout Muslim? Obama's stepfather was also a Muslim.
He was a muslim and now if he claims not to be he will be marked for "correction" by the good (the radical) muslims.

I know CC is joking here, but there actually are people in this country who won't vote for Clinton for that very reason.
The Democrats should have just gotten a candidate into the race that could win and taken the presidency, then worried about their social experimentation after they had the office back. Instead, they went the other way and you're going to get another Republican. Nice work, stupid.

I'm just worried that it if came down to both of them, the majority of this country would rather choose a bible thumping cousin fucker than some guy that happens to be black.

It's interesting to see that after the trouncing that Hillary got in Iowa, she's retooling her message for us here in NH. HAH!
You should see her ads. She just says "Change" a lot without ever saying what she'll change and talks about experience as if being married to Bill and being handed a Senatorship by the rabid, celebrity-loving liberals of NYC counts for something.
Go fix the video games and the internet, you dumb cunt.

I don't give a fuck what other countries think about America. There has been "progress" in America, but not so much that they are going to vote for a black Muslim as President.
Wait, you are going to talk about Obama's speech and NOT mention the Martin Luther King impersonation he did?
I know CC is joking here, but there actually are people in this country who won't vote for Clinton for that very reason.
The Democrats should have just gotten a candidate into the race that could win and taken the presidency, then worried about their social experimentation after they had the office back. Instead, they went the other way and you're going to get another Republican. Nice work, stupid.
while I was making a light hearted joke, I was not joking. I would NEVER vote a female for president.

I like Huckabee. He supports the Fair Tax which I think is one of the best pieces of legislative tax reform ever written. Democrats won't vote for it though because it robs them of so much political power. Politicians as a whole love to use the current tax system to grant favors for political support. This bill removes that.

:thu: Me too. Mainstream press and both parties are scared to fucking death of Ron Paul.
Look at the candidates; see what they truly stand for and ask yourself for whom of those running would the people that risked their lives to sign the declaration of independence be more likely to vote.
I believe Ron Paul holds closer to the principles, on which, America was built. :winner:

First of all. I have to make a commitment to not turn into what I became on another board that shall remain nameless about politics...
With that said. As a Ron Paul supporter I'm pleased thus far. On the other hand one question I still come up with. This concerns Obama.
Now we see the extreme cases often, and with the greatest benefit of the doubt looking at people like Sharpton or Farrakhan, or Jackson I'm willing to go along with most in their assertions.
Cause I've always heard people say if blacks just behaved, got educated, and such and such.. I mean Obama is a far cry from an Al Sharpton. When I was a GOP staffer there were people who said Colin Powell wouldn't do... Now I ask, tell me, who could?
I mean it's like the ultimate non sequitur. Just keep saying any black candidate isn't good enough, say maybe it's not time for one, and never name an alternative. If Condoleeza Rice were in this race people would say the same thing.
So tell me, how much qualification, how much good diction, and behavior is good enough? Because as we've seen especially in recent years it's ok to have moral problems, and God issues, and drug problems, be power hungry or an idiot, divorcee, or a filandering womanizer... That's ok, if you're white. People will even say "It's the economy, stupid"

Ladies and Gentlemen, do I hear a new cnn political consultant?? Really, you should forward a tape and resume... Lol You have a way with words.
lol, if you meant that as a compliment, thanks. I have seen so much shit happen in politics all the way from local to top government. I am a pacifist, but I will use words. I find many problems with Obama and Hillary. First, Obama admitted he used pot and cocaine in the past. Now, pot I can forgive, but once a coke head, always a coke head, and it should be illegal for someone that used illegal substances to be in great power. Second, Hillary is a danger to any man. I admit there are some sexist men there, but there are also sexist women who use their VAG to advance. And like I stated before, if her hormones went out of wack while she was near that red button, the world would be in cinders. Huckabee is just like Bush, retarded, uneducated, and ignorant to the needs of the country. He, like many still see homosexuals as a real threat to the world. Who a person fucks should have nothing to do with a person's life outside the bedroom. I wish I could run for office, but I would not be a good candidate (at least I can admit it). Sorry for getting wordy. I am buzzing on red bull and lack of sleep for 24 hours. My apologies to anyone that thinks I killed this thread (shit I bore it! I can do what I want with it! lol) NIght all. Peace.

Which is why I'm voting for Ron Paul. Who is now in the crossfire with rumors. I love how the establishment attacks people with baseless nonsense when confronted instead of waging a contest of ideals and principles.
