What the best program to use to record streaming audio? I have a radio show that I want to record while I'm at work. I'm assuming there's a way to set it to only record a couple hours during the middle of the day. I'm fairly tech-savvy when it comes to certain areas, but I've never really gotten into this before.

There is a program (free) called Audacity.

Works for XM, MLB.com, even Pandora, for me.

You just have to loop Line Out to Line in and record. Very good quality. Then you have to convert to mp3 for size reasons, but I figured it out in 30 minutes, and as anyone one here will tell you, I am dumber that Eric Nagel

I've tried many others, but this worked very well.

Here's the download link (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/)

Only part that sucks is loading a large file to edit in Audactiy (taking out commercials/editing extra recorded shit out) I don't find Audactiy to user friendly.

If you have the right soundcard, you don't have to loop the line out to in. You also don't necessarily have to convert. When you are done recording, you can immediately save it as a mp3.

The full version of Nero has an editing program that's pretty easy to use.

Right, but I am using a work laptop, so had to improvise. I still recommend it

I seriously doubt that considering the station. It pulled a 1.0 (24th place) in the last book. It's basically located on the same property as a popular bar here, and I don't think their signal goes all that far. Don Geronimo (of the former Don and Mike show) is doing a 2-hour show here starting next week and I just wanted to check it out.

Yeah, that would work. I could use my boombox to do that. Then, I could make high-speed dubs for all my friends. Wow. What year is it again?

Nothing like a mix tape full of bits and pieces of a DJ's introing the songs.
