Trade question.

So this guy in my pay league offered me a trade and I think I am going to take it, but I am a little cautious so let me know what you think.

I would give up Kevin Kouzmanoff SD 3B

and get Ray Durham SF 2B and Bobby Jenks White Sox Closer.

Jenks is on the DL but supposed to come back this weekend. I need a 2B and Durham is not top notch but would be productive instead of stupid Marco Scutaro. I have 2 closers already but my pitching staff is depleted b/c I traded Javier Vasquez for some bats and a week later Wang went down for the season.

Try getting a SU/MRP out of him instead of another closer , if your league gives you points for Holds and Relief wins, that should help. the trade in itself is not a bad one , if you need a closer.

wicked is it a 5x5 league? Who would be replacing kouz and who would durham be replacing. On the surface it looks like a good deal. Jenks for kouz is a good deal. So gettting durham is a bonus

It is a points league with basic points scoring 1pt/1B 2pts/2B etc.
Pitching is +5/-5 for wins/losses +5/save

Kouz isn't even starting for me b/c I traded Hawpe for Cantu in the beginning and I have Huff who is eligible at 3B playing UTIL. My original 2B was Aaron Hill who is on the DL and I am currently starting his replacement Marco Scutero in his place. If i accept the trade I will drop Scutero.

I don't think I would get a good enough SP out of him and holds are only worth 2pts which doesn't add up to much. I had some bad luck with pitching this year but I am still in it. I traded Javier Vasquez for Fukudome/Joe Blanton/Brian Wilson earlier on and I figured Wang would be my ace from there on out and later that week he went down with his ankle injury. I traded Morneau for Dempster/Swisher who is now my ace and my other pitchers are mediocre. Jurggens, Micah Owings (who is collapsing), Doug Davis who has picthed well and I have Kenny Rogers/Joe Blanton/Brandon Backe on my bench.

Wicked. id definitely do this deal then. Hill might be out for the yr. So Durham is definitey an improvement over him. Plus kouz is sitting on your bench. You have Cantu and Huff to play 3b. So your not really losing much. Id definitely make this deal dude.

You're kind of in a desperate situation, so I can see why you'd do this trade.
