You and I both agree that HanRam is an amazing player, but this was proposed to me and I am 3 spots out of the playoffs looking to shake things up a bit.

I lose HanRam and Jair Jurrgens (whose stock dipped when Atl gave up their season)

I get Brian Roberts and Francisco Liriano

To replace HanRam I have Guzman who will put up decent numbers in avg. and like you've seen before I have zero second base talent. Just looking to get some outside perspective on this. Thanks.

Wicked. Id definitely make that deal. Your not losing a ton here offensively. Going from Hanley to BROB. Your losing out in HR's basically. I LOVE Liriano. I have him on 2 teams. I stayed home on a sunday to watch his game. he looked dominating. Back to his old self. He is a major upgrade over JJ. Plus Guzman is a better option then what you have at 2b now. So its a pretty good deal. You lose out just in HR's. But stay stauts quo in the other offensive CATS. Plus you gain a ton in pitching.

Thanks a lot for the help circle. Yesterday I was trying to get Mike Aviles and Liriano from him for JJ and another offensive guy and he emailed me saying he would accept this trade. It helps us both out b/c Aviles can just move to 2B for him and he gets HanRam, but it helps me more b/c he is pretty much eliminated from playoff contention. The fucker better not deny the trade offer.

So this guy canceled the deal on me. I currently have another deal pending where I would give up the same players (HanRam and JJ) and I am getting Pedroia and Derek Lowe in return. Lowe is no Liriano, but I believe due to his weak division and addition of Manny to his squad he will rack up the wins for the rest of the year. Not to mention Atl throwing in the towel which is going to hurt JJ's value for the rest of the season. Pedroia was only 2 pts. behind Roberts, so I am not too concerned.

Thats not too bad wicked. I hate when people go back on trades and shit. I might ask for another player besides Lowe. Lowe is nice. But he isnt Liriano. He will give you the wins but he won't give you the K's like Liriano. The good part is Lowe is platying for a contract too. So thats some added incentive on his part.

I know Lowe isn't Liriano, but I think he is a better option at this point in the season than Jurrjens. I was really pissed the other guy backed out. The only other pitcher on the guys team I was considering asking for as opposed to Lowe was Galaraga from Detroit. I looked at their remaining schedules and Lowe has a way easier schedule and plays in a way weaker division, so I went with him.

*Update*

Since the trade:

Pedroia has racked up 45 pts. and Lowe has 33 pts.

HanRam has 39.5pts and JJ has 12pts.

Looking like a good move. Guzman hasn't been playing so I picked up Asdrubel Cabrera to fill in at SS.

If I win the $1000+ payout I'll buy you a beer circle.

Wicked. it might look even better. HANRAM could be out for the next few days with his injured thumb. Good job dude.
