he should get paid the same for when hes there....if hes doing his own thing then he shouldnt be paid for that.

He brings alot to the show and I dont think it would be the same without him.

sure. After all, he is a professional stand up comic. Opie and Anthony are great and are hilarious, but they don't do gigs outside O&A show. Anthony may do a gig with his band.

only if he show up for show prep in the morning. I do hope he gets paid well, cause he is a very funny contributor to the show. I always felt,too that he should have had his name featured in the show. I know Opie and Anthony is a brand name, but when they came back to XM, he should have gotten his name in little small letters, underneath them.

also, he need a replay machine with 2 sounds.

I said no, but ONLY because he does go off and do gigs and miss some shows, he doesn't come in as early to show prep (haha, prep) and everything like that. That being said, I am willing to bet he should be paid more than he is. I have no clue how much any of them make (millions upon millions I hope) but obviously not enough if stupid howard is getting as much as he is. Even though I said no, I love Jimmy and if he DID get paid as much as them I wouldn't think it was bad, I just see why he wouldn't be getting paid as much.
I tend to agree with everything you said here.

That and O&A were already established in their own right before Jimmy came to the show. Love lil Jimmy and I hope he's getting paid good money though.

I say no but not because of the gig thing, I actually think Jimmy does the least even though I love him. Opie seems to be the brains behind the operation and knows radio well, and Opie would be nothing without Anthony. Not in a bad way, but Anthony adds a really intelligent side, and is extremely talented comically. Jimmy is hilarious, but he just adds the stand up comedian part of things, and came afterwards. I think the show could function without Jimmy, you plug in Patrice or Vos and it goes on and sometimes it is even a nice change of pace. Jimmy is really valuable to the show and should be paid a good amount of money, but I think even Jimmy would tell you that he is happy with the role he has and making the money he makes. I doubt they are stiffing him, and Jimmy has his own great career.

Yea I definitly think it is that they all have their own roles on the show and Opie does a GREAT job running the show but I don't think he gets enough credit for being funny and interesting as more than just the guy who runs the show. I think he is funny and intelligent (although he is a mumble mouth at times, but who isn't?) in different ways than the other two and that the 3 of them together just make a great team. I guess what I am saying, is that I love the show...really going out on a limb there.

Opie is like John Stockton. He knows funny, and is the man at setting up comedic situations. The reason I never found Stern funny was that he surronded himself by comedic people and made the show all about himself. He has an awful delivery, and was not funny. He made the people feed him jokes and sit around like henchmen. Opie could have easily been a solo DJ and successful but what makes O&A great is his ability to set everyone up and make everony on the show at any givent ime important. Not to mention he is pretty damn funny when he wants to be.

Anthonty is my favorite because he is comedic genius to me, nothing is better than quick wit and spontaneous humor, but Opie is the foundation of the show. They might never be as big as Howard because of the climate of current radio, but I feel bad for anyone who isn't a fan. When they went off the air it was a sinking feeling. Hopefully they around for a long while now.

Absolutely. I agree that it is sad if you enjoy comedy and have never heard the show. I mean, they have off days sure but when they are really on it is a thing of comedic beauty. They all play off each other really well and make it sound easy.

Yea, that is one of the toughest jobs in comedy to come up with all those hours of original content per week. They also ruined a lot of standup for me because my standards for comedy are so high.

My GF told me I need to watch Katt Williams' comedy special on HBO. He was awful. I really believe that though, I don't even think my standards were that high. He told generic black jokes.

As much as I love Jimmy's comedy, I prefer him on the radio. Thats not me being light, because I'll put Jimmy at a Hicks and Kinison level. Ive never seen Jimmy in person so im a poor judge here, im just saying even held up to my highest standards hes one of my favorites.

I dont know what jimmy gets or how he's paid, but i think he should be salary. making about 3/4 of whatever they make. He isnt there as much is the only reason i say not the same. That and he isnt there for the show prep or anything. I'm sure he doesnt do as much work but the show wouldnt be nearly as good without him.

I definitely think Jimmy should get paid just like the boys. He has become a great asset to the show. People look forward to hearing him. The boys are great and Jimmy is right with them.

Jimmy should get paid the same just for when him and Anthony get on a role and carry the show for 30 minutes. Ahhh those were the days early on in the XM days. Lil' Jimmy also brings the best out of Voss and Bobby Kelly.

I voted no because of the fact, that back in the WNEW days he was like any other comic that came to hang out and promote himself. That being said he formed a chemistry with O&A and he's been there ever since. I would put it as the show has 2 Generals, & 1 Colonel.

Jimmy adds something to the show that none of the other 3rd-mikers bring: a constantly biting wit that doesn't seem to run out of gas. None of the other 3rd-mikers can keep up with Jimmy when he goes on a caustic rant. Just the other day he went on a five-minute rant cutting Ellen Degenerus to pieces. I almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard. The other 3rd-mikers might have come up with one line for every five lines Jimmy comes up with. Pay him!

I don't agree with him being a lot better than the other guys and I am sure he is paid well. I think all of them are hilarious and bring different things to the table. I love a good Jimmy rant, but some of Patrice's lines are amazing, even that piece of shit Vos has some good ones. Go figure.

Not to mention that while he does bring the funny to the show, he brings *his* funny to the show. When someone else is guesting 3rd mic, the show is still funny, just a different funny. However, it's the Opie and Anthony show, and if heaven forbid Jimmy was not on it anymore, it would still be the O&A show. It would not be the O&A show without O or A. That's what puts them a rung above Jimmy.

Don't get me wrong though...Jimmy should be well paid.

I think he should get paid "x" amount for each show that he does. When he is there he contributes as much to the show as the boys do. I understand he can't always be there bc of other obligations, but he is a BIG part of the show. I love them all and they do a great show! Viva la Opie and Anthony Show!!
