As talked about on this weeks show ...What summer movie did you think was better?

Ironman or Darknight

I have not seen Ironman, but Dark Knight was really good. I usually don't get excited over summer blockbusters. (at all.) But, it was really good. If it wasn't for the costumes & the absurd way Batman wins, it could have just as easily been a crime film.

Dark Knight is easily better.

And i have to agree with Mike about it could have been a crime movie.

My biggest problem with the Dark Knight wasn't the annoying Batman voice, it was that when he was dressed as Batman, he went and talked to Morgan Freeman(who knows that Batman = Bruce Wayne) and even then he still used the fuckin Batman voice. He knows who you are,,,,you can use your regular voice.

Any notion you had about past Jokers(comic/movie/cartoon/otherwise) is thrown away with this one. He's neither a laughing, robbing clown. Nor, is he a parody with gags & shit. He's a manipulative, anarchistic terrorist.

I also think, while this Joker was fucking hypnotically awesome. Heath Ledger's death is shadowing the great performance Aaron Eckhart gave as Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

I think Eckhart did a good job (being that he wasn't resposible for the awful make-up look off two face), but if Heath Ledger wouldn't have died, i still think he would have been gettin way more praise than Eckart. Ledger is a bigger name for starters, not to mention, in my opinion he just did a better job acting. For me the joker was the reason the movie was so good. Not just the performance, but also just the character in general.

I agree that is was Joker's movie. But, I felt Dent was the deepest character in the movie. He was a villain, but he was mostly a victim. I don't think the make up looked bad at all, but that's just me. Eckhart actually made me believe in the character Two Face. Even as a little kid, I never got the idea of someone in a cave plotting revenge against Batman for something a criminal did. (in most stories, Dent had acid thrown at him & Batman couldn't stop it in time.) In this movie though, you believed his anger & frustration with the system. Because, even when he was clean cut Harvey Dent. He was still untrusting of the police, because of the amount of crooked cops. Which helped make his transition seem more authentic.

And Alicia Silverstone
And Chris O'Connel
And Uma Thurman
And whoever the wrestler guy was who played Bane.

The only believable character in that movie was Alfred.

Oh i agree with that completely. I'm just sayin that i think that if Heath Ledger hadn't died, he would still be gettin more praise than Eckhart. All in all, I think this was by far the best acted superhero movie ever (which isn't sayin a lot lol)
